Garden Grove Bowling League

When Our  league year kicks off last week in September or October with our kick-off meeting to final out our team formation and naming, captain assignments and question answering.  First bowling week is usually first week of October,  on Thursday at 2PM….then every Thursday same time except for a couple holidays…..we conclude our season in April of the following year. 

Handicaps We use a target score of 200 for each bowler before a bowling session begins.  Each week, as the bowler improves or comes up short of their average, the assigned handicap adjusts.  

 Fees We bowl every week at reduced cost league rates….the GG League usually collects a couple dollars over the league rate per week to build up an amount we use to put on a banquet at the end of the league year. Additionally, what we have in excess is used for end of the year awards for special scores winning teams, etc.

Join If you wish to join the Garden Grove Bowling League, please call Sheila Dilley  ssdilley@hotmail.com or text or phone 727-741-0494.  Garden Grove residents have priority.  We also welcome family & friends from other areas to bowl with us.  Due to schedule constraints, some people may wish to be a substitute bowler, a good way to participate when available.      

 If you haven’t bowled recently or have a new ball, you may want to practice (tho it’s not necessary). Through the month of September, we’ll to be given league practice rates on Thursdays at 2pm to practice and maybe improve our averages prior to the league play. Anyone is welcome. Just tell the Vero Bowl folks you are a Garden Grove league member.
